As a friend of the remaining members of this family, Mrs. Roqaya and her son Mohammad, who are currently without any food, water or medicine in Gaza city which is the north of the Gaza strip, I´m appealing to your humanity, kindness and generosity to help get them out of Gaza via Rafah border. Since the cost of entering Egypt is huge (between 5000 and 8000 US dollars per person), they´re not able to bare the costs alone. That´s why they need help of the good people.
While the sun bathes the world in light, it leaves the darkness enveloping a single mother’s life in Gaza City. She has faced unimaginable tragedies having lost her husband by an Israeli drone 15 years ago and raised their eight children, alone amidst the harsh realities of life in Gaza without a stable income, her world shattered further when an Israeli air strike stole the life of her oldest daughter and all her three beloved grandchildren (above photo: Anas, Leen and Alma, during the current genocide. Yet, her spirit remains unbroken.
Now, standing resilient with her surviving son, she seeks refuge from the relentless cycle of genocide that has become their daily reality. She dreams of reuniting with her eldest son and daughter abroad, away from the horrors of Gaza. But the path to safety requires more than she can bear alone.
Will survival embrace us? Her question echoes in the midst of despair.
This brave mother, a silent warrior battling blood pressure without treatment for months, longs for a chance at life and healing. Her youngest son, robbed of educational opportunities by the devastation of war, yearns to pursue his dreams in Biotechnology as the universities and homes that once held the promise of education and safety lie in ruins. Mohammed is a proud member of Harvard Aspire Team!
With your support, we can rewrite their story. Your donation isn't just a monetary contribution; it's a beacon of hope for a family torn apart by tragedy. Together, we can offer them a fresh start, away from the shadows of grief and destruction.
Imagine the ripple effect of your generosity – a family escaping the grip of genocide, a young man supporting himself and his mother by rebuilding his future amidst the ruins of war. Every contribution brings them closer to a life beyond conflict.
Join us in their journey towards hope, healing, and a brighter tomorrow. Donate now and be a part of their story of resilience and renewal!
With heartfelt gratitude,
Roqaya Al-Hayek (mother)
and
Mohammad Jamal Al-Hayek (son)
