Help a Single Mom Save Her Home: The Sequel

My family is facing eviction after a rough couple of months. We have 12 days to pay our rent in full, or we will be asked to vacate.

Last month, I lost a big chunk of my child support when my ex took me to court. Then my roommate moved out, but not before causing so much chaos that my landlord now says they won’t approve a new roommate.

Right now, I’m trying to figure out my next moves. There are resources out there, and I’m reaching out to them. I’m also looking for another job. Considering moving, if we can save up enough and find a new place, but ideally, we’re hoping to maintain stability in our current situation, at least until our lease is up in September.

This is not the first time I’ve had to reach out to my community for help, but I really, really hope it is the last. I’m trying so hard to get back on my feet after my ex moved out and fired me in November, and business is picking up and I’m heading in the right direction, just not quickly enough to support my family’s needs right now.

I just need a little bit more time.
