I am a single mom and educator, humbled by my current situation. Right now, I am facing an overwhelming financial crisis that I never expected. I have been struggling with medical issues, including seizures and irregular blood pressure, which have left me with mounting medical bills from emergency room visits. 

Soon I will have a preventative mastectomy, but do not have enough sick leave to keep my paycheck for the 8 week recovery time.

On top of that, I have unexpected bills totaling over $20,000 that I just cannot manage on my own.

As a teacher, I am doing everything I can to provide for my household, but these unexpected bills have become an insurmountable obstacle. In 4 months, summer will mean even less pay.
