Two years ago, my daughter and I were living with a family friend who suddenly decided to move out without any notice, leaving me with the full responsibility of paying the rent. As a single mom with no financial support from her father, covering the cost of a three-bedroom house became impossible. To avoid the stress of eviction, we quickly moved out and into the only apartment we could find, but this decision has left us in a difficult position.

Now, we are facing a collection that is preventing us from finding a new home. I’ve struggled to save money due to unexpected emergencies and the cost of living. We currently drive about an hour just to reach her school, our support system, and any services we rely on, and this long commute is not sustainable.
