Help a Single Mom of Two Boys Keep a Roof Over Their Heads This Holiday Season

My name is Danielle, and I’m a single mother of two amazing boys. Asking for help is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, but I’m at a point where I cannot carry everything alone anymore.

The holidays are approaching, and instead of planning joyful moments with my kids, I’m facing the possibility of losing our home. I’m behind on rent and trying desperately to catch up before the situation becomes irreversible.

A Little About My Story

In 2021, my mother—my only family, my support system, my lifeline—passed away unexpectedly. Losing her broke my heart and changed my entire world. She was not only my mom, she was the only real help I had raising my boys. Since her passing, life has been one hardship after the other.

Shortly after losing her, I also found the courage to leave a toxic and abusive relationship with my children’s father. I knew it was the right choice for me and my boys, but it has not been easy trying to rebuild after everything we’ve been through.

What I’m Facing Now

Recently, I’ve been dealing with unexpected health issues that forced me to drop down to part-time hours. I’ve worked with my employer for 13 years, and stepping back was a devastating but necessary decision to protect my health.

Car troubles have also been a constant battle. Without a reliable vehicle, I can’t work my part-time shifts or pick up extra hours. Every breakdown sets me back even further, and I’m doing everything I can to keep us afloat.

I’ve applied for government assistance programs with no success. I’ve taken on side gigs and stretched every dollar as far as possible, but it's still not enough to catch up.

Why I Need Help

At this point, I am behind on rent and facing the real fear of eviction. Any amount I can gather will help me negotiate with my apartment complex or assist with moving costs if the worst happens. I am fighting every day to give my boys stability, safety, and a home—especially with the holidays approaching.

Anyone who knows me knows I am a hard-working person. I don’t give up easily. I’ve been doing everything within my power to stay afloat, but right now, I truly need help to keep a roof over my children’s heads.

How You Can Help

Any donation—big or small—will directly support:

Rent and back-owed balances

Utilities to keep our home stable

Emergency moving assistance if needed

Your kindness will make a real, immediate difference for me and my children. You are helping us survive a season that should be filled with hope, not fear.

Thank you for reading, sharing, donating, or simply holding space for us during this incredibly difficult time.
