Help A Single Mom of 5 Stay Housed
Donation protected
Tina is a formerly-incarcerated trafficking survivor who is a single mom of five children, four of whom are still in her care. Her kids are the center of her world, and she does everything she can to make sure their needs are met and that she can help them succeed in any way she can. Her kids have numerous mental health conditions. Raising kids with these conditions and a long-standing ongoing custody battle with a physically and emotionally abusive ex have made obtaining and maintaining housing situations difficult for Tina. She currently is in between housing situations as she waits for her next apartment to pass a housing inspection. Because of her kids’ mental health conditions and special needs, the family was unable to continue staying in a shelter, and the family has been separated among various family members, friends, and community members who have agreed to help out for a few days. However, the inspection process has continued to take longer than expected, leaving Tina and her kids separated from each other and with no housing.
Please help Tina and her kids remain in temporary housing (an extended hotel) until her apartment is ready. Funds will be used for housing and food for Tina for the next 60 days until her apartment is move-in ready. Anything raised over our goal will go towards helping her get her and her children established in their new home.
Thank you for anything you can do to help!
