Hi. My name is Hannah S, and today my sisters and I are fundraising to help our mother get back on her feet.
Last night our mother suffered an attack while asleep at the hands of her long term (physically and emotionally abusive) boyfriend.
Around 4am our mother was found by police on Main Street on the ground begging for help. Unsure of how she got there, and unsure of her injuries at the time our mother was left outside barely conscious with major head wounds (essentially left for dead).
Our mother has sustained multiple skull fractures, and currently has 12 staples in her head. The police believe a hammer was used to inflict these injuries. The police have been searching our home town of Binghamton, NY for this man, but we believe he’s already in NYC. We are hopeful that they are able to catch him, but until then our mother is still in the hospital, fearful for her life, as well as our families. As this was a long term relationship, not only were they living together, but he also has information on where our family members live. This makes it very difficult for our mother to find a safe haven.
Our hopes is that we can raise enough money to get her an apartment, and essential furnishings. An apartment that he isn’t aware of. Somewhere that she can heal, and start a new life for her and her children. Our mother is a loving, caring, generous woman, and she doesn’t have the financial means to do this on her own. We want to help our mother get the fresh start that she deserves.
