Help a Single Mom of 2 Rebuild After House Fire

Hey everyone,

My name is Brittany and I'm reaching out for support for Alea, an amazing single mom of two girls who lost everything in a house fire this morning, May 5th, 2025.

Thankfully, everyone is safe, but their home—and nearly all their belongings—are gone. Right now, they don’t have a stable place to stay and are facing at least six months without a permanent home.

Alea has lived in Sackville all of her life and has been an incredible friend to me and so many others. She recently has been helping another friend navigate a family emergency and raise funds for her. She is always the first to show up in a crisis. Now is our time to give back to Alea.

She’s doing her best to stay strong for her girls, but this is a huge and unexpected setback. Between trying to find temporary housing for the three of them (that is dog friendly), replacing essentials, and keeping life as normal as possible for her children, she could really use some support from the community.

Every little bit helps—whether it's $5 or just sharing this with others. All funds will go toward helping her and the girls with housing, clothes, food, and the basics to get them through the next few months.
