Help a single mom in need during a difficult time

Hey guys, my name is Kristi, I am trying to raise money for my friend Karla Conder and her daughter Kenadie. Karla and I grew up together and have been close friends since we were 8 years old.

I’m going to get straight to the point and then tell you why. Karla is a single mom of 4 girls, she is a server at Brixx in Beaufort SC and is in need of immediate help with her bills. As you all know as a server, any work missed is money missed…. and this is the heartbreaking reason she is missing work:

Karla’s daughter Kenadie is a smart, caring, beautiful 12yo full of energy and spunk little girl. Unfortunately, for reasons still being determined, she felt the need to leave this world last week. Karla, was on the outskirts of town with her youngest daughter when she received a call saying Kenadie had taken an unknown amount of generic Tylenol in an attempt to take her life. Karla instructed Kenadie to vomit several times and rushed her to the local ER and they quickly decided Kenadie needed more help than they could provide. She was medically transported to the children's hospital in Charleston SC, specifically the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). Kenadie consumed approximately what was 10x the lethal dose for an adult of acetaminophen. It was later found out that she had consumed a substantial amount of generic Benadryl as well. She was examined very closely by medical staff because of the risk of heart problems but more importantly liver problems. She had several severe visible physical issues at first but the most major issues would turn out to be internal, if any. Miraculously she has shown no sign of organ damage and has been moved to the Acute Care Unit as of Sunday night. She will still be closely monitored (medically) until she can recieve help at a psychiatric hospital that has a specialized pediatric department. Thankfully that hospital is only blocks away from the children's hospital she is currently at, but that's over 1.5hrs from her home. Hopefully tests will continue to show no long term organ damage, and hopefully Kenadie will get the mental help she oviously needs. Kenadie's sisters miss her and their mother, they don't realize fully why Kenadie did what she dis or why that means they don't have their mom at home either. Karla is struggling with not being able to be with all her children but has remained by Kenadie's side for the majority of this time. The emotional toll on this family is unimaginable and almost unbearable, but the financial toll is building as well.

A single mom of 4 (dependant on her solo income) missing work for an unknown time, with no stop in bills and mounting travel and childcare expenses on top of their normal bills. Kenadie will continue to be hospitalized and recieve whatever care is needed until she can return home healthy and happy. The bright side is that Kenadie, despite everything that has been done and knowing the long road ahead of her and her family, is willing to recieve any help and is wanting to be healthy again as well! Kenadie and Karla have recently spent more time in a hospital than at home and it doesn't seem like that will change quickly.
