Help a Disabled Single Mom & Her Daughter Stay in Their Home

Hello,

My name is Jessica, and I’m a single mom who is doing my best to provide for my daughter and create a stable, loving home. I work as a Special Education Educational Assistant, which is incredibly rewarding work as I get to make a real difference in children’s lives. I also work additional side jobs, like working the after-school program, just to make ends meet. However, despite my hard work, the reality is that the income I make simply doesn’t always stretch far enough to cover everything.

Like many others, when something unexpected comes up, it can put me in a difficult situation. In December, I faced some unforeseen expenses that kept me from paying my rent on time. By the time I was able to pay it, the next rent was already due, and unfortunately, they won’t accept a partial payment. As a result, I’m now at risk of being evicted and will be going to eviction court at the beginning of February.

I’m doing everything I can to stay afloat, but right now, I am in urgent need of financial assistance to prevent my daughter and I from losing our home. I want to continue providing for her and give her the stability she deserves. Any help, no matter how big or small, would mean the world to us.

I live with ADHD, Autism, and chronic pain, and these conditions shape my daily life in significant ways. Managing them can feel overwhelming, especially when stress enters the equation. Stress tends to amplify my symptoms, making it harder to function and stay on top of tasks, but I’ve developed strategies to cope, even on the toughest days. The stress of facing eviction is impacting me in a variety of ways.
