Help a Single Mom Escape Homelessness, and Build a Home
Donation protected
I'm Jessica, and I'm a single mother to a beautiful 5 year old boy. For the past 6 months, we have been struggling with homelessness after being put in a very unsafe position by a "friend" we were living with, who became violent with us and then forcibly evicted us, giving me no time to find us somewhere to live. I am also disabled, and have been living with chronic pain from Fibromyalgia.
We are currently staying in a hotel, which has been challenging to pay for, but not as challenging as when we had to live in my car (which then completely broke down). Housing as a disabled single mother, is just out of my reach right now.
So my goal is to create a tiny home for us in the van that I was just able to buy for us. I want create a safe space for us, that belongs to us. And I need for my son to have some stability.
Any help we get will go towards helping my build out or van, and helping us pay for our hotel so that we have someplace safe and warm to sleep while I fix our van.
*Update 3/16- We are no longer staying at the hotel. We are sleeping in our van as I try to fix it slowly.
