Help a single mom as she battles through cancer
Donation protected
Hi, my name is La Chelle Eddines. My beautiful little sister, Monet Bell-Hohn, was recently diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer - Metaplastic Carcinoma w/Chondriod Matrix in September of 2021.
If you only knew my little sister's journey, you would understand the confusion, hurt, and pain that has rattled her world and ours with her diagnosis. So who is Monet? Monet is a daughter, a sister, and a loving mother. She is a single parent of three, a daughter (12), and took in her half-brother (14) and sister (17) less than a year ago, after the passing of their grandmother.
I would like to share a proud sister moment and commend her for being an amazing example of strength in the face of adversity. My little sister is beyond strong and will allow no form of doubt or discouragement to distract her from this challenge: to conquer cancer and continue her upward trajectory in being the best she can be in this one life. As her family, we have faith in her strength, courage, and audacity to fight this battle, as she has faced and overcame countless adversities in her young 36 years of life. Her life's experience has prepared her more than any coach could for this battle, but even the strong can use help. In addition, she will need continual love and positivity, and most importantly, support to ensure this underdog wins. Please help me and my family support this courageous person, my sister, Monet Bell-Hohn.
Monet landed her first position since graduating from vocational school as a pharmacy tech for the E.R. department at a local hospital just two months before her diagnosis. You can imagine her excitement about the strides she has made recently to make a better way for herself and her expanded family. Unfortunately, Monet had to take a personal leave of absence from work once her chemo treatment started to keep herself safe from illnesses that could be easily contracted given her work environment in conjunction with now having an impaired immune system. She is eight weeks into her chemo treatment, with the more aggressive chemo treatment ahead of her. The loss of income has dramatically impacted her household of four. Although she is looking for alternative work, this is a lot for a single mother and caregiver of three to manage, all while battling cancer.
Any funds raised will tremendously help support her household while she is out of work and supplement the limited assistance she is currently receiving from the government. Although grateful for government support, it is barely enough to keep a roof over her and her family's heads. As her family, we are doing what we can to support her emotionally and financially. Any and all donations would go a long way in making life at home a bit more comfortable - with less stress and worry. The funds raised will help with healthcare-related costs, nutritional support products not covered by insurance, in addition to rent, bills, cleaning supplies, nutritional aid products, toiletries, clothing, etc.
We've also created an Amazon registry Monet Bell-Hohn/cancer care packet if you prefer to support in a different way. If you cannot contribute financially or via goods, no worries; please consider sharing this post and keep her in your thoughts and prayers. We also gladly accept any form of positivity, love, and care as a form of healing support.
On behalf of our family, We would like to thank you sincerely from the bottom of our hearts!
With gratitude & appreciation,
