Hi all,

My name is Trevolene Slinger, and I am a single mom asking for help during an incredibly difficult time.

I work as a paraprofessional in a special education Pre-K classroom in my local school district, a position I just started this past May. I’ve been working hard to improve my situation, but financially I’ve fallen behind and have not been able to pay rent for the past couple of months.

This week, I received a court notice from my landlord. We are now at risk of eviction if I cannot catch up on rent and legal fees. This is terrifying for me as a mother — I want nothing more than to keep a stable and safe home for my son.

I have no family nearby and no backup options, which is why I am humbly creating this page. My hope is to raise enough to pay back rent and protect our home.
