Help a Single Mom Achieve Her Dream of Becoming a Nurse

My name is Lakia, and I’m a single mom with a big dream—to become a nurse. For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to help people in need, and I believe that a career in nursing is my true calling. However, as a single parent, balancing the responsibilities of raising my children and pursuing my education has been challenging, both emotionally and financially.

I’m currently enrolled in a nursing program that will allow me to build a stable and fulfilling career. I’ve completed my first semester with a 3.5 GPA, but I’m facing a significant obstacle: I simply can’t afford the cost of tuition, books, and other necessary expenses while also providing for my children. I did not work my first semester to focus solely on my studies. The demands of school made it impossible for me to work full-time, and without financial support, I’m worried that my dream of becoming a nurse may slip away.
