Hello, my name is Eduardo and I’m a single father doing everything I can to provide a stable life for my 13-year-old son.

I have been without a job for 7 months and despite my constant efforts, I haven’t yet been able to secure a new job. As the days go by, the weight of our situation grows heavier. Debt keeps piling up and in less than 60 days, we may lose our home.

This is not an easy thing to share. Asking for help is one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. I feel deeply embarrassed, vulnerable, and overwhelmed for not being able to provide for my son. Like all fathers, I always wanted to be strong for my child. But right now, I need to ask for help to be that rock again.

In addition to regular debt and expenses (mortgage, HOA fees, utilities, food, gas, etc.), I have some health issues. The most severe one is osteoporosis in one of my knees. A chunk of the knee bone disintegrated. I would like to get treatment. Of course, health treatments are insanely expensive. But I need therapy because beyond my daily pain, it will affect how an employer will perceive if I can perform the job.

My son is growing so fast. I remember when I could carry him on my forearm while making dinner or folding laundry. Now he’s a teenager, full of dreams, questions, and hope. What he needs most right now is stability, and that’s what I’m fighting for him.

I’m asking for your support to help cover our most critical needs: our mortgage, HOA fees, medical bills, medical treatment, and daily expenses. Currently, I'm 6 months behind and they are taking me to court. Your help will help keep a roof over our heads and give me a few more months to find steady work, deal with health issues, and get back on my feet. I hope things get better so I can make memories with my son.
