On October 26, 2021, my son and I experienced an unimaginable loss when his mom was killed in a car crash. Since then, I have been raising our son as a single father while working and returning to college—a journey inspired by her. She was just a year away from earning her nursing degree when she passed, and her dedication to helping others motivated me to pursue my own degree in psychology.

Our son has been diagnosed with ADHD, anxiety, and depression, and both of us are working through complex PTSD. Balancing his needs, our mental health, work, and my studies has been incredibly challenging, but I am determined to finish what I started for both of us. Now, I am just one class away from graduating, but a financial hold is preventing me from enrolling in my final course.

Clearing this hold would allow me to complete my degree and open new doors for our future.
