I am a single father of a 4-year-old. I was orphaned when I was 11 years old, so I know the effects of life without a father. It's been a struggle living without the guidance or support of either parent. I was recently medically evaluated, and it seems I'm looking down the barrel of lymphoma.

I'm a hard-working man. I've always done my best to provide for my family. If I had to work two jobs or sacrifice for others, then I will do it with a smile on my face. I've always lived my life being kind and thoughtful.

It is very scary because I'm 39 years old. The future was recently so bright, and over the course of the last few months, it changed. It's hard not to cry sometimes, and I'm enjoying every day with my daughter just a little bit more.

I know the troubles that the world is going through, and I see lots of other families going through much harder and difficult times. I do not feel worthy of help. My only desire is to live long enough to see my daughter become a woman and to teach her the values I hold.
