Hello Dear Freiends

We are raising funds on behalf of a dear friend BELLO OSASERE BLESSING, a sickle cell warrior and advocate, who is currently facing a serious medical crisis. This GoFundMe has been created with her full knowledge and consent.

She has been diagnosed with Avascular Necrosis (AVN) in both hips, a painful and progressive condition where bone tissue dies due to reduced blood supply, an unfortunate complication commonly associated with sickle cell disease. This condition has severely affected her mobility, independence and quality of life.

Her doctors have strongly recommended urgent surgery to prevent further bone collapse, permanent disability, and additional complications.

The total cost of the surgery and associated medical care is 11.2 million Naira, which is approximately £5,300 or $7,900. This amount is far beyond what she can manage on her own.

Despite years of strength, resilience and advocacy for others living with sickle cell disease, she now urgently needs support. Every donation no matter how small, will go directly toward helping her access the treatment she desperately needs.
