I am reaching out to ask for help for a dear friend of mine who is 75 years old and currently living in a home without heat. For privacy reasons, I am keeping her name private, but I can assure you she is a kind and deserving person who has always tried to make the best of difficult situations. Right now, her home is only 45 degrees, and she is relying on an electric blanket to stay warm. She also has medical issues that make this situation even more dangerous for her health and well-being.

The reason she is without heat is because of an outstanding UGI bill. She has faced some financial difficulties recently and is unable to pay the amount needed to have her heat turned back on. The funds raised here will go directly toward her UGI bill so she can have warmth and safety restored to her home. With the holidays approaching, it is heartbreaking to think of her spending this time in the cold, especially given her age and health challenges.

No senior, especially one with medical issues, should have to endure living in a cold home.
