Help a senior cat get life-saving dental care

Hi,

My senior cat, Rev, is in need of urgent medical care for her mouth. She has severely inflamed gums and has lost a tooth, leaving her prone to life-threatening infections. She has stopped eating entirely due to the pain in her mouth, which is extremely dangerous for a senior cat. She is currently having to be syringe-fed, which is incredibly difficult for both of us.

Rev will be seen by a vet today or the day after at the very least. If you know anything about veterinary dental care, you know it’s very costly. As this is an emergency situation, no one has any time to save up funding for her treatment. We will be paying out of pocket, which is an incredible financial strain on our low-income family.

Rev is my soulmate cat. She’s been by my side since I was nine years old, and seeing her in such poor condition kills me inside. I don’t want finances to decide whether she lives or suffers. It just is not fair. If you could open your hearts and donate even a dollar to alleviate some of the financial burden, it would be so, so appreciated. Thank you so much.

thank you to everyone who donated to get Rev started on her treatment! Rev is currently on antibiotic and steroid treatment for pain management. It’s a good start, but she needs exploratory dental work done to find the full scope of the problem. She will receive a full dental clean and polish, alongside extractions as needed and an exploration of her missing tooth in case of a root still being intact. The high end quote for this is $1,588.48. The low end, $1,120.50. Our goal will be adjusted to reflect this cost.
