Help a Senior Afford Needed Dental Work.

My father has fallen on hard times and is on a fixed and very limited income. He has some pressing dental needs that he can't afford. There are three steps to his required treatment:
1. Have his cavities filled (There are four total plus a crown that needs fixing). $1,000 total. ***THIS STEP IS COMPLETE***
2. Have an oral surgeon extract the teeth that are too far gone to save (There are six that need to be removed). Somewhere in the range of $800~$1,000. I will verify this cost Tuesday.
3. Have a partial denture plate made for his lower jaw. $1,500 at his preferred dentist. A staff member at the office told me about a local place that can provide the plate at a lower cost and using a different material--I plan to check into that Tuesday.
If the first two steps are delayed too long the condition of his mouth may get bad enough that a full denture plate will be needed instead of a partial--which is more expensive.
My father had a treatment plan made by the dentist which included the exact costs of each step. Unfortunately, my dad has a bad memory and has misplaced the sheet with this information. I plan to contact the dentist directly on Monday and obtain another copy. I will update this campaign afterwards with more exact estimate. Until then, the costs outlined above are a best guess estimate using the average cost of those services in the areas around Richmond, VA.
07/15/2019 UPDATE: The dentist gave me a copy of the treatment plan today. I have updated the numbers above to reflect what was in it. The oral surgeon extraction cost is still unknown. I will be checking into it tomorrow. There might be a cheaper alternative to the plate which I plan to research.
