Hi, my name is Melissa and I started this goFundMe to help my dear friend Michelle Monahan. Michelle is a beautiful, compassionate, selfless, amazing woman. We worked as nurses together for years. She was unfortunately diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer (invasive ductal carcinoma) that has spread to her lymph nodes. She just had her port placed and will start chemo this week and will eventually need a mastectomy. Michelle is a mom of 3; Dylan (22), Jayden (20), and Gabby (12). She is a hardworking nurse that worked at a nursing home in NY during the height of the pandemic. She has such a positive, hard working, selfless attitude. Unfortunately, she had to quit her job to focus on her fight against cancer. She does not have the funds for her and her children's living expenses on top of her climbing medical bills. Michelle is such a kind, compassionate, resilient soul who needs assistance to get through these tough times.
