HI, thank you for taking the time to consider this fund raiser. My name is Raymie Farr. I live in Statesboro, GA, but for the last couple of years I have been given the privilege of visiting a growing mission in Thome, Kenya. The purpose of this fund is to restore normal mobility to a dear friend to many, Robert Lorengo.
Robert has spent his life helping others—whether through his work, volunteering, or simply being the dependable get-it-done man that he is. Robert works full time for a school mission in Thome, Kenya. (Mission Thome is essential to the area and has around 350 full time students that otherwise would have no education or daily food and water) Now, Robert is facing a challenge he can’t overcome alone. After years of periodic sharp pain, constant discomfort and limited mobility, Robert urgently needs a knee replacement to regain his independence and quality of life. Without it, everyday tasks like walking, standing and depressing the clutch on the missions transport vehicle remain painful struggles. The cost of surgery, however, is well beyond what Robert can afford. That’s where your support can make a life-changing difference, not only for Robert, but for the many children who he gives care and immense amounts of his energy to.
Every dollar donated brings Robert closer to relief from chronic pain and the chance to live life at 100% again. Your generosity won’t just fund a procedure—it will restore movement, freedom, and his ability to serve. Please consider giving what you can, and share this with others who might be moved by Robert’s story. Together, we can help him take that first pain-free step toward a brighter and more selfless future.
Total cost including travel to Nairobi 3 times(12hr round trip), MRI, surgery, and a post surgery visit is estimated to be 850,000KSH.
($1.00 USD = 130.00 KSH)
It would take robert roughly 5 years to save enough to have this operation done on his own.
