Hi everyone,

I want to share something very close to my heart with you. ❤️

Fifteen years ago, in Faridabad, on the outskirts of Delhi, a couple decided they could no longer ignore what they were witnessing around them.

Children from nearby slums were growing up in incredibly difficult conditions. Some were orphans. Others spent their days collecting recyclable waste from the streets to help their families survive. Many were exposed to unsafe environments from a very young age.

So they began with almost nothing.

They started finding these children in the streets, speaking with their families, and inviting them to learn. In the beginning, classes took place under a tree for just a few hours a day, teaching children how to read and write.

What began as a simple act of love slowly became something much bigger.

Today, nearly 200 children attend Pragyam School every week, from Monday to Saturday, all year round.

This place is much more than a school. It is a safe space. A place where these children receive not only education, but also love, care, respect, guidance, and presence. For many of them, it becomes a refuge, a community, a family, and a real opportunity for a different future.

Some of these children wake up at 3 a.m. to collect and sort plastic and metal before going to school. After classes, they return to work to help support their families.

Some have lost one or both parents.

And through all of this, the school continues to be there for them, offering stability, compassion, and hope.

The school is completely free. Everything the children receive, including uniforms, shoes, books, and school materials, is made possible through donations.

Many of the children only own one pair of shoes for everyday life. Some of those shoes are already worn out or no longer fit, which means they often come to school barefoot.

Without the support of people like you and me, this school simply could not continue.

One of their biggest challenges every month is covering the teachers’ salaries. There are times when teachers go unpaid for months, yet they continue showing up because they deeply believe in these children and their future.

The new school year began this April, and many new children have recently joined. Right now, the school urgently needs support to continue operating and providing education, safety, and care for these children.

That is why I decided to create this fundraiser.

I cannot do this alone, but I can choose to be a bridge.

A bridge between kind hearts like yours and a place where support can truly change lives.

I truly believe that money is also energy. It is a tool that allows us to help, serve, and create real impact in the lives of others.

And when we open ourselves to give, life often finds beautiful and unexpected ways to flow back to us.

We are all channels through which support can reach those who need it most.
