Supporting a Rohingya Refugee Mother in Need

Amid the many challenges faced by refugees, some stories touch our hearts deeply.

One such story is that of a Rohingya mother, who arrived in the U.S., navigating life with her 9-month-old baby.

The weight of displacement, separation, and the difficulties of adjusting to a new country have taken a toll on her mental well-being. Unable to speak English, struggling with PTSD, she is finding it hard to make light of this situation.

In our WA community, we are committed to providing her with stable housing and the care she deserves.

Alongside many dedicated, sincere and generous community members of (Christian and Muslim faith) , each is stepping in to offer clothing, essential resources, and emotional support.

This is an extenuating case, where multiple notable organizations, mosques, shelters and churches have already been involved, and each has been providing recurring support and resources, but till she is in a stable housing situation, with mental health support provided, she will be unable to break the cycle.

These funds are intended to pay for 6 months of rent & electricity.

It is in times like these that community and compassion make all the difference.

It's when we unite past imaginary lines and come together to help another human being, when community really shines through.
