Help a Rising Star Travel to the 2025 WDF World Masters!

Recently our family celebrated a wonderful accomplishment and after discussing it with family and friends, I have decided to reach out to the public and see if there is any chance that people would be willing to help an upcoming youth athlete achieve a lifetime opportunity.

Kayla Smith grew up in a sport that many people don't realize is as amazing as it is. Her Grandmother was the Ontario director for the Youth Darts Association. A very loved and respected person in the entire dart community. Kayla picked up a set of darts at the age of 5 and never looked back.

Her Grandmother passed away suddenly in 2017 but Kayla and her father continue in her legacy. Not many people realize how wonderful and widespread the sport of darts actually is and the community that it has created, but Kayla knows firsthand.

Last year, she not only won a spot-on Team Ontario, travelling to St. Hyacinthe Quebec to play the Nationals but she placed first in Canada! Among many other awards and a college bursary.

This year Kayla returned to Nationals in her last year as a "Youth" player. She again won the college bursary shoot, her and her female partner won a 1st place finish in women's doubles, her and her male partner placed 3rd in mixed and Kayla won silver in the senior girl’s singles, all these accomplishments helped her team secure a silver medal in the Canada Cup!

The shining moment of all of this is that Kayla received an official invitation from the World Darts Federation to travel to Budapest Hungary this October to play at the adult level against top players from around the globe!

I am reaching out today to ask if anyone would in any way be able to assist Kayla in achieving this tremendous goal.

Any donations would first and foremost go to travel costs, entry fees, accommodations etc. for both her and her father.
