Help a Retired Veteran and His Wife Recover from Major Surgeries
I am a retired veteran and truck driver, who has spent years serving others. My family is asking for help during a very difficult time.
In December, I underwent a kidney transplant that came with significant medical expenses, medications and ongoing recovery needs. While I have been working hard to regain my strength, the journey has been physically and financially challenging.
While I continued to recover, we had another hardship strike our family. Two weeks ago, my wife Sandy had major back surgery. With both of us recovering at the same time, everyday tasks, travel to medical appointments and mounting medical bills have become overwhelming.
We live on a fixed retirement income, and with both of us recovering from serious medical procedures, we are not able to work at this time to help manage the rising medical and household costs.
After 23 years of military service with 2 combat tours, I never expected to be in a position where I would need to ask for help. But the reality of transplant medications, surgical costs, rehabilitation and daily living expenses has placed a heavy burden on us.
We are raising funds to help cover:
• Medical bills from the kidney transplant
• Post-transplant medications and follow-up care
• Expenses related to his wife’s back surgery and recovery
• Travel to doctor appointments and rehabilitation
• Daily living expenses while we both heal
Any donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference as we focus on recovery and getting back on our feet.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser with your friends and family. Your support, prayers, and kindness mean the world to us. Truly, thank you.
