Help a Retired Teacher in Need

"My Update"
A big thank you to everyone supporting me on this journey. You are true friends.
The Good News is my knee surgery on September 1, 2022, was successful, and I was transferred to rehab on September 3, 2022. Thus, I began an intensive journey of 3-4 daily physical and occupational therapy sessions to rebuild my strength. I am now able to stand, bear weight and take a few steps. However, I have a way to go to feel confident walking with a walker or unaided.
As I complete my Medicare-covered stay and transition to home therapy, I will again need assistance to pay for daily transport to dialysis and outpatient rehab appointments.
After I am cleared to return home, I will continue my inpatient therapy at home with a physical therapist for a few weeks after post the rehabilitation center.
I will continue additional physical therapy sessions in a nearby outpatient facility. However, public transportation such as Metro Access has restrictive guidelines and policies on entering private property or a residence; this will inhibit me from benefiting from the use of their services. If there is anyone who knows of a person willing to volunteer or work part-time to provide private transportation to and from future outpatient physical therapy sessions, it would be greatly appreciated.
"My Story"
Hello, my name is Chris Brokenborough, and I am in need of your financial assistance to cover some of the expenses associated with my medical treatment. After several falls that required hospitalization, I am now in a wheelchair. In order to get to my dialysis treatments and other medical appointments, I am now in need of specialized transportation. Unfortunately, being on a fixed income, the cost associated with my specialized transportation exceeds my monthly budget, which limits my ability to live my life to the fullest.
I have been blessed to spend my adult life in service to others and truly desire to continue in such roles. I am a retired teacher with the Archdiocese of Washington Catholic Schools, a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., initiated into the Annapolis Alumnae Chapter in 1991, and a Gold Award Panel Member and Troop Leader with the Girl Scouts of the United States of America.
I would greatly appreciate your financial support to assist me in getting the medical treatment I need to live a healthy life and continue living a life of service to others. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
Please feel free to share this on your social media sites and with your personal networks.
