I am a retired NYC bus driver with a deep passion for fishing and giving back to my community. For the past 58 years, I’ve been fishing the Long Island Sound, volunteering my time to teach children, take veterans on outings, and share fishing spots with other captains who are struggling to put dinner on the table. Fishing isn’t just a hobby for me—it’s a way to connect, support, and uplift those around me.

Recently, I purchased a 27’ boat to continue my mission, but it came with 25-year-old motors. On a recent journey, I hit something underwater, which caused significant damage. My insurance company says they’re not responsible for wear and tear, and my mechanic discovered water intrusion in the exhaust system. Now, I’m faced with the challenge of replacing both motors so I can keep my boat running and continue serving my community.

With your help, I can purchase two new motors and get back on the water for the April 2026 season.
