Help a Resilient Voice for Freedom Overcome Hardship

Donation protected
Request for personal assistance reposted from my birth month instead of my usual requests for charitable donations!

If you care about me and my pro-freedom voice on social media (imsarahbella.com), as well as gig economy exploitation, PLEASE READ BELOW!

[Background: In 46 years, I have never been one to publicly ask for assistance. It has been my experience that there are always unspoken expectations and conditions.

But my life has been little more than a series of bad breaks. I was born with autism and ADHD and suffered years of horrific child abuse - both familial and institutional - as my father is a malignant narcissist with political connections who required a scapegoat for his misdeeds.

From here stems my opposition to oppressive government, particularly in terms of arbitrary authority. It's why I oppose MAGA psychopathy.

I've also survived two divorces and custody fights, a bout with cancer, a hospitalization for cellulitis after my ex-husband ignored my medical needs for two days, 5 herniated discs, and of course general disability for which I've been denied three times by SSDI for apparently not quite being disabled enough.

My son and former roommate was supposed to share the rent over the last three years and did not. My savings are now depleted.

Despite it all, I've done the best I can with the hand I was dealt.

I don't harm people. I don't harm myself. I believe in the NAP. But I'm highly principled, so my apparent rigidity often makes socializing (and thus employment networking) difficult. As a DJ, I am a trained extrovert, but it takes a lot of energy. I have special needs, especially when I need to be effective, which - when I am - is VERY effective. Like scary effective.

My integrity is also not for sale.

All of these issues have created economic struggles for me over the years.]

More about the current issue:

I haven't talked about this because I had preferred to keep it private, but in case you don't know: rideshare driving sucks ass.

Despite the fact that making your own schedule is convenient (especially as a minor politico), the base pay continues to decline.

They are charging you all obscene rates in surge fees when the roads are busy, but are not passing those fees onto drivers.

Gas prices will ABSOLUTELY increase under the tariffs, if implemented.

Vehicle prices have been utterly outrageous for years now, and drivers and lawyers are still fighting for owners' right to repair.

We have absolutely no job security.

Our benefits are practically non-existent and even as ICs, we are regularly manipulated into employment levels of control and coercion without a human even in the loop, just an algorithm empowered to punish us when we don't comply.

In the last two months, I have been removed from one service for being simply ACCUSED of assault - with absolutely no evidence - after I reported threats against ME. I even filed a police report. They didn't budge and I threatened them, but I can't afford a lawsuit.

The other saw me fall prey to the first scam I've ever fallen for in my life, a professional process that - as I was repeatedly instructed to avoid - did not involve having to give out personal information to verify the transaction in question using my name and address.

And they've known about it since 2018. Yet I'm also still furious with myself.

This all happened a few days after a drunk, belligerent man told me to, "shut up and drive the fucking car, bitch," and refused to leave when I kicked him out.

The Christmas season - which I did not celebrate because I had just spent $4000 on a new transmission to try to keep my jobs - was nothing but misery, people treating me (and undoubtedly other service workers) like shit on their shoe.

Gig companies see us as an inconvenience, a nuisance. They can't wait to replace us with robotaxis.

ESPECIALLY women. They DO NOT want to have to protect us.

I'm looking for other work, but the utter stress I've been dealing with and my seasonal health issues - as well as my WIDELY varied skillset and propensity for self-employment (despite holding a BS) have made it nearly impossible.

This is to say nothing of the context of my life of constant struggle which I have NEVER exploited.

I've never been good at asking for help, and this is the first time I ever have.

Normally on my birthday, I ask for donations to my favorite charities: usually either the American Cancer Association, a Second Amendment charity, or The Trevor Project.

This year, I'm asking you to help me, especially if I've helped you in the past.

You'll also be supporting my continued presence online fighting for humane values and civil liberties within the Libertarian Party for all people: Democrats, Republicans, and others alike.

The podcast is still in pre-production, too. I just need to book more guests.

I would appreciate any non-monetary assistance including, but not limited to: employment in political or private-sector marketing, communications, desktop and mobile IT support and networking, WordPress development, event organization and DJ'ing/karaoke, and public speaking.

Thanks in advance.
