Help a Resilient Soul Overcome Years of Neglect

I'm not really sure how old I am, I believe i'm at least 13 but that's my best guess! Without responsible humans to track, i've lost track myself on my age.

My body shows my age but also shows the years of neglect. I was living in a toxic environment and had to scrounge for food and water. I was also incredibly uncomfortable from all the flea bites and serious infections in my ears. I'm still recovering from both and gnaw on my paws and shake my head, but I'm so grateful to finally have it addressed.

I've also had some weird things growing on me, lumps and masses. I think most of them are benign and not to be worried about but tests are needed. I'd also really like to have this large thing moved from my lip so I can eat and drink in peace.

I'm now on a flea treatment and special diet to help me inside and out. I also now get lots of love and attention (even though I cant hear) and thats doing wonders as well.

After my medical stuff has been completed, I'm looking forward to getting out there into the world and exploring every corner I can. I've been confined to one place for 13 years and am ready to see what is waiting for me!

9/15/24 update: First vet appointment success!

•Heartworm: Negative

•Dental: needs 12 teeth removed, abscess in the gums (estimated $1500)

•Skin: Needs several masses removed, other bumps from allergies which are being addressed and hopefully will improve with time and the new environment / diet. One concerning tennis ball growth in the groin which will need to be tested in the future (estimated $2000)

•Ears: Infection currently being cleaned out. Saline flush beginning next Tuesday ($200)

•Blood Panel: Senior blood panel to be done at next appointment 9/25 to help determine new medicine protocol and clear any other underlying issues ($350)

•Energy: sleeping a lot! But letting my body recover. More vitality in the horizon

•Mood: grateful and full of love from my new parents and the community support
