Help a Rescued Husky Fund His Life-Saving Surgery

Hello all!

I'm writing about a furry friend who needs more helping hands. Meet this amazing husky, Lucas, who has faced so much hardship in his short life, but still manages to be so full of love and joy. He was picked up by Animal Control as a stray on March 21st (this wasn't the first time, sadly). Unfortunately, he has a huge tumor (~8-9cm) on his upper back leg that needs medical attention.

We adopted Lucas on Friday, March 24th, from Animal Control in Leavenworth and already brought him to the vet for an initial check-up on his tumor and update his vaccines including other necessary medications he needs. He is currently up to date on his vaccines, and is on 2 medications (pain and antibiotics) until he meets his surgeon. Our vet suspects this mass to be cancerous and because of the location of the mass, he will also need a skin graft procedure after the removal surgery.

As a human with a heart, I know how important it is to give every animal a chance with the love and care they deserve. That's why I'm asking for your help to make Lucas' life a little better. We are reaching out to our community to ask for help in raising the necessary funds to cover the cost of Lucas's surgery and other medical expenses. We'd be so grateful if you could donate anything you can.

The vet has given us a rough estimate of up to $6,000 for all procedures, tests, medications, etc. Our goal is to raise $2,500 to cover the cost of Lucas's surgery and post-operative care. Any amount you can donate, no matter how small, will make a difference in Lucas' life. Lucas has so much life to live, and we want to give him the best possible chance at a happy and healthy future.
