On my way home from work Thursday night, I saw a dog sitting alone under a streetlight. As I got closer, I realized he had been hit by a car and left there, scared and in pain. I couldn’t just leave him, so I picked him up, brought him to my car, and took him home. Once we got home, I gently washed him, cleaned his wounds, and made sure he had something to eat. Despite everything he’s been through, he’s been so brave—he’s walking around, eating well, and even using the bathroom on his own.

Now, I want to make sure he gets the medical attention he needs. He needs to be seen by a vet to check for any internal injuries or broken bones that I can’t see. I want to give him the best chance at a full recovery, but the cost of emergency vet care is more than I can handle on my own.
