I’m a father who recently resettled in the U.S. with my family as refugees. My 13-year-old son has a heart condition that prevents him from doing physical activities or playing outside like other children.

While many kids are enjoying their summer outdoors, my son spends most of his time inside, often feeling left out and alone.

His dream is to have a gaming PC so he can connect with friends online and explore the world virtually — not just for fun, but as a way to stay engaged and emotionally healthy.

Unfortunately, as a newly arrived immigrant, I’m still trying to build our life from scratch. With limited income and no credit history yet, I can’t afford to make this dream happen on my own.
