We are raising funds to help a refugee family escape conflict in their home country and settle safely in York. Could you spare a few quid to help out?

York Welcomes Refugees is a small group of volunteers working within the community sponsorship scheme and with the support of the UK government and UNHCR. We are busy putting things in place to welcome a family later this year.

When a community sponsorship group like ours brings a family over to the UK, there is no financial aid from the authorities. All costs need to be covered by the group. We need your help to raise enough money to provide the essentials for the family.
