Help a Refugee Family Rebuild After Tragic Loss

After years of hardship, a refugee family’s dream of rebuilding their life in safety has turned into a devastating loss. This family of four—a devoted mother, a loving father, and two young daughters—fled their war-torn homeland and lived in Turkey as refugees for 9 long years, facing constant financial struggle, limited opportunities, and the pain of uncertainty.

In 2023, they were finally granted the chance to start over in the United States. They arrived with nothing but hope, ready to rebuild their lives from zero. But just six months after arriving, the father was diagnosed with cancer. It was a devastating blow. For nearly two years, he fought the illness with strength and courage. The mother became his full-time caregiver, setting aside everything to care for him. Their daughters, still so young, worked long hours after school and on weekends to help support the family and cover medical expenses, all while adjusting to life in a new country.

On May 26, 2025, their worst fear became reality. The father passed away, leaving behind his wife and two daughters. Now, the family is left not only grieving the loss of a beloved husband and father, but also struggling with the financial burden of funeral expenses and the cost of daily life. They have no savings, no extended family to lean on, and no financial cushion to fall back on.

They are doing their best to stay strong, but they need help. Your support will go directly toward covering the funeral and burial costs, rent and basic living expenses, and providing emotional and practical support for the mother and daughters. Most of all, it will help the two young ladies find their way forward—continuing their education, working toward their dreams, and healing from this unimaginable loss.
