Help a Refugee Family After Car Theft and Vandalism

Donation protected
I'm reaching out on behalf of my friends, a Congolese refugee family of nine who are facing a difficult time right now.

The family had their 2011 Hyundai Elantra stolen in front of their house on March 7. Last week they received a letter from a towing company in Shawnee, Kansas that the car was found abandoned and the towing company was charging them to store it.

They owe the tow company $770 to release the car back to them and cover the towing and storage fees. To make matters worse, the car was heavily damaged during the theft— a window was broken and the steering column was destroyed.

They desperately need help getting their car repaired again. The father is working over 60 hours a week and the mother is temporarily staying at home with their two month old baby. The father uses his car to get to work and the mother needs her car fixed to make it to doctor appointments for her newborn and young children.
