Hi everyone! I've started this GoFundMe page to help me raise money to relocate for a full-time job.
(Quick Note: My middle name is not Train. I've signed into GoFundMe through Facebook and haven't been able to change the name for that reason.)
** MORE ABOUT ME **
I am a recent graduate from the Civil Engineering major at UC Davis who has a high passion for transportation infrastructure. My goal is to contribute to the positive optimization and user-friendliness of our transportation networks. Currently, I am nearing the end of my internship with the City of Vacaville, CA, in which I work with the Public Works department to improve road conditions throughout the city. I am happy to report that I accepted a Structure Construction position with Caltrans in Redding, CA, that starts on January 15th! I am happy that my hard work in college and at my internship will finally allow me to develop transportation structures in a beautiful location.
** WHY I AM REQUESTING **
The problem is, I cannot afford to move to Redding from Woodland, about 150 miles south. It is highly unlikely that the state will advance me any funds to relocate or for living expenses until my first paycheck at the end of February. Thus I am asking the community for assistance with this transitional stage of my life.
** THE REQUEST **
I am asking for at least $2,500 to help me with the security deposit for my new apartment, the first and second month's rent, moving expenses, and interim living expenses such as food and gas.
NOTE: If you need to be reimbursed, please let me know in the comments section when donating. Please also allow until April 1st to receive reimbursement.
I appreciate any and all help as I begin a new chapter of my career. Thank you so much in advance!
