A Quiet Giver Facing a Heavy Season—Let’s Lighten the Load

Someone I care about deeply is facing one of the hardest chapters of his life.

He’s struggled with serious mental health challenges for most of his life—something that’s invisible to most people, but incredibly real and overwhelming.

He’s trying hard to stay afloat while navigating a broken system and doing everything he can to heal...for a long, long time.

He’s been actively applying for jobs, following up, putting himself out there—but nothing consistent has come through. And too often, there’s no response at all. It’s been discouraging, and financially, things are getting really tight.

Rent and groceries have become a real struggle, and he doesn't have enough money for next month's rent, or any other basic necessities. He's at risk of having to live in his car.

This isn’t someone who’s given up. He’s someone who’s spent years showing up for others—offering wisdom, encouragement, and real help. He’s been a steady, grounding presence in many people’s lives, and has quietly helped more folks than I can count move through challenges and even grow their businesses and incomes.

And beyond his work, he leads with kindness and heart.

Here’s just one example:

Not long ago, two friends of his lost their housing. The husband has dementia, and his wife wasn’t ready to place him in a facility. My friend lives in a studio apartment, but he opened his home to them—giving them his bed while he slept in a recliner in the living room for 2 months. He even helped cover their bills, despite not having much himself.

That’s who he is.

But now, he’s the one in need of support. He needs a lifeline.

I’ve created this GoFundMe to help cover the basics—rent, food, gas, and a safe, stable space to heal and rebuild for 4 months.
