Help a Queer Black Artist With Housing

Donation protected
Omari Lewis is a 23 year old queer Black artist from Oakland, California. He recently relocated to Brooklyn, New York 7 months ago and has been housing insecure ever since the pandemic trying to make ends meet. He currently takes commissions for his art, tries to sell things he finds and applies to mutual aid to receive support from his community. If he does not have enough rent to make ends meet he will have to move back home which prevents him from staying with his partner, Magdalena and his dog, Courage.

Omari's savings have been drained due to paying for rent in New York and he is not sure he'll have enough money for rent or food in the next upcoming months. He continues to search for employment and more opportunities for mural projects in the meantime.

Please redistribute what you can so Omari Lewis can rest and not have to worry about finances. He seeks community support with being able to support himself. Share widely with your network, nurture one another and check in with Omari Lewis about how you can support, whether through an art commission, GoFundMe, Venmo or CashAPP.
