Help a Queer Art Student Start Over

Hello! My name is Leo and I am an artist specializing in fashion, textiles and illustration. In 2021 I decided to realize a long term dream of mine by investing in a study abroad school in France. I used all of my savings from years of hard work in order to pursue what I thought would be the best thing for my future. Through student loans, scholarship funds and part time work during the year I was able to make this work. Due to my strong drive to finally complete my education, I unfortunately overlooked several red flags that I should have paid more attention to during my first year. The second year in this program turned out to be absolutely devastating to my mental and physical health. Despite my desire to finish my degree at one institution, I can no longer justify paying for and spending my time on the education that I was intent on pursuing.

Here's where the reason for the GoFundme comes in. If I change institutions in order to finish my education I end up having to pay back a lot more than I orginally planned for. I want to just put this all behind me and start over, however given I am only halfway through my degree it is difficult to find a job with a salary that allows this. I am currently working as much as I can but I am finally admitting that I need some help in order to move on. I'm also not as physically and mentally healthy as I was and find it hard to push myself into long work hours the way I used to. Your contributions will help me recover and heal, find time to be creative again and get back to school! Every single dollar helps and I deeply appreciate absolutely anything you are able to give,
