We are reaching out to ask for support for an individual who means so much to our family, friends, and those who has had the privilege of being in her presence — S.

S is a kind, dedicated professor living and working in South Korea. She is also a loving daughter, sister, auntie, friend, and proud pawrent to her six rescued dogs.

Recently, S became suddenly ill and collapsed at home. She was rushed to the hospital and is currently critically ill in the ICU, receiving extensive medical care. Her family has dropped everything to travel to Korea to be by her side, while her friends in Korea and around the world are doing everything they can to support her and her family during this difficult time.

We are hoping to raise $20,000 to help support S and her family. Her hospital and ICU care alone is costing approximately $1,000 per day, that unfortunately does not include the additional costs of tests, medications, treatments, and other medical expenses.

Donations will help with:

* Medical expenses, including her ongoing hospital and ICU care

* Medications, treatments, rehabilitation, and other recovery-related costs

* Caring for her six rescued dogs while she is in the hospital

* Other unexpected expenses that may arise throughout her recovery

S is a Canadian from Toronto who has built a life and career in Korea, where she works as a professor at Soonchunhyang University. She is known for being strong, caring, compassionate, and always there for the people and animals she loves.

Our hope is to ease some of the financial burden so that S and her family can focus on what matters most — her recovery and getting her home to the life and loved ones she cares so deeply about.
