Help a PhD student finish his doctorate at UEA

We are fundraising for our friend Michael O'Brien in order to help him finish his PhD in the school of engineering at the University of East Anglia. He specialises in Renewable Energy. He only has a few months left and is currently having to work 3 or 4 days a week to earn living costs. We would like to raise the money for his living costs for the next few months to be able to finish his PhD without the added stress! He is an amazing man and has worked so hard to get where he is today. These final few months are a very important time for him to focus on his research. This would be a big surprise, he has no idea we are raising funds! Here is his research profile from UEA:

After gaining 8 years’ experience in the building industry, Michael joined the University of Exeter as a mature student and completed a Masters in Renewable Energy Engineering. Michael has over 3 years’ hands-on experience working with biomass, desalination and energy production systems in the field, in the UK and in Australia. Specialisations include system identification and dynamical systems modelling, data acquisition and control design, and construction, operation and testing of biomass systems in the lab and field. Michael is currently completing a PhD in Engineering at the University of East Anglia.
