A few days ago, a 12-week-old Dalmatian puppy was surrendered to the animal hospital where I work after being diagnosed with parvovirus. Because of the cost of treatment, her previous owners chose not to move forward with care—and without intervention, euthanasia was the next step. I couldn't let that happen. Parvo is a devastating but treatable disease, especially when caught early and treated aggressively. This little girl was hospitalized for three days, receiving intensive care including IV fluids, medications, and constant monitoring. Thanks to that care, she was strong enough to go home tonight—a huge milestone in her recovery.
While she's over the worst of it, she's not out of the woods yet. She still needs ongoing medications and supportive care, follow-up veterinary visits, proper nutrition, and monitoring as she continues to recover. The cost of hospitalization and continued treatment adds up quickly, and I've taken responsibility for her care so she could have a chance at life.
All funds will go directly toward her hospitalization and treatment costs, medications, and anything she needs to fully recover and thrive. She's just a baby who never should've had to fight this hard so early in life—but she did. Every donation, share, or kind word helps ensure that surviving isn't the end of her story, but the beginning of a healthy, happy life. Thank you so much for supporting her second chance.
