I am 49, two kids. Got into an accident on June 2, 2025, and broke my back and a couple of ribs. I don’t remember most of that day. I have almost $19,000 worth of medical bills, and I’m not sure that’s all of them. I only had liability because it is all I can afford. Doesn’t cover the truck at all, and only covers $5000 medical. I never thought I’d be in this position.

I’m on FMLA, but it’s unpaid. The only way I might get a paycheck at all is because I’m burning every PDO hour I have, and I didn’t start out with much. After that, leave without pay. Anybody that lives here knows all of us are one lost paycheck away from disaster-losing your home, being followed by creditors, not being able to put food in front of my kids. 

I’m terrified. I have no savings, no bloated checking account, no credit cards. All I can do is ask for help. And really, anything helps.
