Help a Paralyzed Refugee Woman Find Safety and Stability

Donation protected
A young refugee woman in California is living with permanent paralysis and severe spinal deformity. She cannot walk and depends entirely on a wheelchair to move.

Today, she urgently needs help.

Medical reports confirm that she suffers from Cerebral Palsy and a severe congenital spinal deformity, which has caused paralysis in the lower half of her body.

Her MRI also shows serious abnormalities in her spine, including severe spinal deformity, spinal cord compression, and structural damage that cause chronic pain and major physical limitations.

Because of these conditions, she cannot perform many basic daily activities independently — including walking, moving safely, preparing food, or taking care of herself without assistance.

In addition to her physical disability, doctors have also identified intellectual developmental challenges and severe depression, which have made her situation even more emotionally difficult.

Her condition is permanent and long-term, and she requires continuous support and care.

For the past year and a half, a compassionate woman has been helping care for her in her home — assisting her with mobility, transportation, and basic daily needs.

But this situation is no longer sustainable.

Unfortunately, a serious error in her birth records has created another major barrier in her life.

Her official documents mistakenly list her as 14 years old, while she is actually 25 years old. Because of this discrepancy, she has faced significant difficulties accessing assistance programs and services that could help her.

Right now, her most urgent need is safe and accessible housing suitable for someone who relies on a wheelchair.

She currently has:

• No independent mobility
• No stable income
• No family support system in the United States
• Limited access to assistance due to documentation issues

Without help, she risks losing the only temporary shelter she currently has.

This fundraiser was created to help provide immediate stability and protection while we work to resolve her documentation issues and connect her with long-term support services.

Funds raised will help with:

• Safe and accessible housing
• Basic living expenses
• Medical care and mobility support
• Transportation to medical appointments
• Essential daily assistance

Every contribution — no matter how small — can make a meaningful difference.

Your kindness can help give this young woman something she desperately needs: safety, dignity, and hope.
