Hello everyone, my name is Reem, and I am reaching out on behalf of a young Palestinian man who is facing unimaginable hardship. The ongoing war, economic devastation, and daily struggles in Palestine have left him on the brink of losing everything. He is fighting to keep his small clothing shop open—the only source of income for his family. But time is running out.

Adel’s Story

My name is Adel. I am 27 years old, living in Hebron, in the occupied West Bank. I have always worked hard to support my family. A few years ago, I took a leap of faith and opened a clothing shop—something I had dreamed of for a long time. It was never easy, but I was determined to succeed.

Then the pandemic hit. My first store couldn’t survive, and I was forced to close it. I refused to give up. I saved every penny, and after immense effort, I managed to open a smaller shop. Things were looking up—I was earning enough to provide for my family. For the first time in a long time, I had hope.

But on October 7th, everything changed. The war began, and life in Palestine grew even more unbearable. My shop, once filled with customers, is now barely surviving. People can no longer afford to buy, and I’ve had to borrow money just to keep the doors open. Month after month, I’ve watched my savings disappear. Now, I am at my breaking point. If things don’t change soon, I will be forced to shut down in a matter of weeks.

This store is not just a business—it’s my lifeline. It is my only way to feed my family, to survive, to hold onto some dignity in a world that seems determined to take everything from us. I don’t want to give up, but I can’t do this alone.
