I never imagined that after surviving tongue cancer surgery, one of my biggest battles would be recovering from it.

After two partial glossectomies and a neck dissection, I am incredibly grateful that my cancer was removed. However, my recovery has been much more difficult than I expected. I continue to struggle with significant pain, limited movement in my neck and right shoulder, and reduced mobility that has made returning to full time work as a nurse practitioner impossible for now.

My doctors have recommended physical therapy and medical massage to help restore my range of motion and prevent long-term complications, but my insurance has repeatedly denied coverage despite months of appeals. Paying out of pocket for these treatments, along with everyday living expenses while I recover, has become more than I can manage.

As a single mother of four, my greatest goal is to heal, regain my strength, and return to the career I love so I can continue providing for my family. Every donation helps cover rehabilitation, medical expenses, transportation, and basic living costs during this difficult season.
