Help a Newfoundland athlete attend the 2025 Pan Am Games!

Kaiden Crocker, a 13 year-old taekwondo athlete, has been training since he was 4 years old in World Taekwondo. For the past four years he has dedicated himself to competitive performance training, attending numerous tournaments and training camps to gain as much experience as possible. Constantly working towards his goal of becoming a top-level athlete in his sport, his efforts paid off at the 2025 Canadian National Taekwondo Championships in Montreal on February 5th. He stayed focused, fought hard, and earned the Gold in his Cadet division. This achievement earned him a place on Team Canada, and the opportunity to compete at the 2025 Cadet and Junior Pan American Games in Querétaro, Mexico in early April!

While this is an opportunity of a lifetime for Kaiden, it is also primarily self-funded. The costs of airfare, accommodations, and equipment add up quickly. Being from the Atlantic provinces in Canada, the air travel alone is over $1600. Athletes are required to be in Mexico several days early for acclimatisation and team training, which doubles the hotel length of stay. He is putting in great fundraising efforts and is seeking sponsors to help him realize a dream of representing Canada at the Pan Am Games.

Kaiden is passionate about his sport both inside and outside the ring. He assists the younger athletes, helping out at his club and volunteering at sport organisation sponsored events. Though he is dedicated to his training, putting in 5 sessions per week, also he understands the value of education. Diligent in his schoolwork and exam prep, he maintains a GPA over 90%. Kaiden sets a positive example not only to the students at Samjae Taekwondo, but to all aspiring taekwondo athletes in the province of Newfoundland.
