We're reaching out to ask for your support for a hard working first time mom who has endured unimaginable challenges bringing her baby girl into the world.

Shortly before giving birth, she developed severe preeclampsia, with life-threatening blood pressure levels reaching 215/109. As a result, she suffered hypertensive retinopathy, which tragically caused her to lose her vision.

Her baby girl was born two months premature and is currently in a separate hospital's NICU, being treated for heart and pulmonary complications. This mother hasn't even been able to see her newborn daughter — not only because of her sudden blindness, but also because they are separated in different hospitals, both fighting their own battles.

This family is facing a long and uncertain road ahead — physically, emotionally, and financially. Medical bills, travel between hospitals, future treatments, and the unknown costs of adjusting to life with vision loss are piling up.
